GENERAL;

to be considered "mature" you must be 5 years of age;
foals cannot be claimed at joining; so if you join a two year old, they won't be claimed; foals: 0-3
you cannot join a foal under one; that's it. end of story;
to breed (male or female) you must be 5 years of age; simple? good;
to own a land you must be 5 years of age; evil, aren't i?
foals may leave their herd at 1 unless otherwise directed;
leads may choose to keep foals for trading purposes; eh, poor foals;
make sure you stay within the height limits of your breed;
make sure it is an existing breed;

BREEDING;

first make sure we're in breeding season;
breeding seasons: spring, summer, autumn
you then may post your horse's stats and have the other player post their horse's stats in NEW LIFE and your foal's stats will be posted for you; do not just create your own foal's stats unless you get permission from an admin first;
if you just post the stats, you do not have to play it out;
mares may be force bred anywhere;
stallions may make trips to other islands to force breed to other mares;
when force breeding, you must allow "room" for the other player to escape;
no long breeding; end of story;
when foaling, you have two choices; one, wait till the end of the season and then foal or, two, wait until the same season the "next" year and then foal for a horse's gestation is eleven months long;
please keep the amount of times you breed each "year" down to two so we don't have an overflow of foals;
